It looks like someone in New York is trying to revive Lionel Richie‘s 1984 hit “Hello”. Personal ad-style signs are popping up all over New York city. The sign displays an old black and white throwback photo of Lionel Richie in his younger days sporting his signature afro. The header and caption on the sign reads, “Hello?” and “Is It Me You’re Looking For?”. Each tear-off strip at the bottom of the page has a lyric to “Hello”, instead of a phone number. The song was number one on the Billboard charts for three weeks. The video for the song feature Lionel Richie in love with a blind woman.
No word on who’s responsible for the postings, but I bet Mr. Richie will be “Dancing On The Ceiling” if he notices an increase in iTunes sales for his song because of the ads.
